Looking back at the preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
As the process of using photoshop became more and more familiar to me through using it during my preliminary task to making my three magazine pages, I have found that the overall quality and conventions I have included within my work have seriously improved.
In order to fully show my progression and improvements, I have decided to include some photos to show the comparison between my preliminary task and my finished magazine media product.
These two images portray clearly the drastic quality difference between my first ever cover and my final product for my music magazine. The placement of the conventions, text, photo and images, on my pre lim task cover are extremely simple and poorly placed on the page with no real layout style or condition. Whereas, my music magazine cover looks professional uses complimentary colours and portrays a wide variety of conventions you'd find on a real magazine e.g. Buzzword, Slogan, Main heading, the text is in line and doesn't bleed off of the page and the Masthead is clear, correctly placed and is easy to read. Despite each magazine having a much different purpose, one being a school magazine and the other being a music magazine, they can be easily differentiated between in relation to which is of a higher quality and looks much more professional.
The same can be seen here when comparing my contents pages. Everything from photo editing to text placement has majorly improved from my pre lim task to my music magazine. Due to the fact I had no real style model to help me when creating my school magazine, I was very much working from my basic knowledge of conventions, whereas, I had my main style model, "Rolling Stone", to work from and I now have a much more advanced knowledge of the conventions of a magazine, editing skills as well as the exact functions and features to use on Adobe Photoshop to create professional looking, high quality magazine pages.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
When creating my media product I used a variety of technologies such as:
Camera: I used a Canon camera to take all of my photos for my magazine. I used the rule of thirds as well as revising a variety of camera angles and shots I could possibly use and studied my style models to gain inspiration to the kind of shots they used. I had already previously used this camera when taking my photos for the Pre Lim task therefore, I was familiar with the functions of the camera and found taking my photos was very easy and trouble-free.
Apple Mac PC: I used an Apple Mac Computer throughout the entire process of creating my magazine pages as well as my blog posts on Blogger. I had used an Apple Mac before so when navigating around the system and using a variety of programs featured on the system, such as 'MicrosoftPowerPoint' and 'Adobe Photoshop', it was a familiar process.
Adobe Photoshop: I have used Photoshop in order to do all of my editing and the overall creation of all three magazine pages. Despite using this on many occasions before creating my magazine, there were many features in photoshop that I had yet to use therefore had to teach myself and learn how to use them in order to create professional looking, high quality magazine pages.
Blogger: I have used the online blogging site in order to track the entire process of making my magazine pages as well as the choices I have made throughout the process and why. I hadn't ever used this blogging site before, however throughout the process of creating my magazine and during the Pre Lim task, I became more and more confident with posting blogs and navigating my way around the site.
